Support Sector
The Support Sector (SAP) is responsible for all activities related to general services involving the maintenance of the MERCOSUR Secretariat and translation.
Functions and Responsibilities
Organization of Secretariat support services
- Provide photocopying services.
- Provide assistance in protocol matters.
- Manage the receipt, distribution, and dispatch of communications.
Translation
- In coordination with the Member States and with the support of the Regulatory and Documentation Division, produce authentic translations into Spanish and Portuguese of all draft regulations, as well as the final text of approved regulations. In the case of draft regulations containing technical content, the guidelines established in Resolution GMC Nº 26/01 must be followed.
- Translate other texts at the request of the Director or MERCOSUR’s decision-making bodies.
